Write Your Story and Watch Your Purpose Emerge

Write Your Story and Watch Your Purpose EmergeIn the last few weeks, I’ve started to write my next book which begins with my story.

This process has given me so many insights and clarity about my own path and how I’m meant to serve.

It made me realize how beneficial writing your story can be.

Whether or not you want to write a book, taking some time now to start journaling about the most important parts of your life will shed more light on your path than you can imagine.

I highly recommend carving out some time in the next two weeks to journal or write about some turning point in your life.

Let the words flow onto the page without any judgment or concern about grammar or how it might sound to anyone else.

Write until your heart’s content.

Then with an open mind, read your story and let yourself reflect on all the ways this chapter of your life shaped you into who you are today.

Ask yourself what other things occurred during this period that may have affected your circumstances and choices.

Then allow yourself to journal or write some more as you gain more perspective and wisdom.

Even though it may not seem like it at the time, it’s often our biggest challenges or transitions that bring the greatest gifts and move us toward our life’s purpose.

Understanding your journey is a key element to being able to embody your role as a leader.

Right now, our world needs us all to step into leadership in the unique way each of us is meant to.

If you have any questions about writing your story, post your question below.

And please share below and let us know what comes to you when you consider writing your story and when you plan to make time in your schedule to write.

I would love to hear from you!

I am going through an almost unbelievable situation right now- well, it all started 5 years ago when my husband took his own life. That was JUST the beginning. I learned things about my family and my mother used my husband’s death to gain temporary custody of my daughter and my mother is sick. I’m still trying to get her back but I fear the consequences from my mother once she begins losing control of the situation. She’s going to go insane. There are no lines that woman won’t cross to maintain the control over me and my daughter. I’d love to share my story in order to help others, but I have no idea where to start. Any advice?

Dear Amber, I’m so sorry for all you are going through and for your husband’s death. I can’t imagine how challenging this all has been. I think writing your story initially for yourself may be very healing. For many people, writing their story helps provide new perspectives and a way for deeper healing. Once you’ve written it, if you feel moved, you can self-publish it or you may choose to share it by speaking to women’s groups or any other groups who could benefit from hearing your words. Often it’s the act of getting started that then reveals the directions to take, so I encourage you to start writing and see what opportunities emerge as you share with others around you what you is coming to you as you write your story. Much gratitude to you.

After a life coaching session with Eve, I felt uplifted, lighter and free-er. I left with a sense of direction that I didn’t have before. The personal breakthroughs that occurred spilled over into my career and I also came away with some very practical, hands on business guidance. I was so moved by the entire process of Eve’s life coaching, that I decided to become a life coach myself and take the training she is going to provide this fall.
The methods Eve used were such a success with me that I want to share them with others. I am deeply grateful and look forward to my new adventure in life coaching with great excitement.
