How to Handle the Emotions

As the pandemic continues, so many emotions can come through that it sometimes gets overwhelming.

Do you know what I mean?

If you feel like you’re riding waves more than you would like, here is a quick journaling tool you can use to get back on solid ground.

On a piece of paper, write or draw what you truly want to experience everyday…focusing on the energy you want to feel.

It might be peace, it could be freedom, it could be abundance, safety, vitality or anything at all.

Take a few minutes to journal about how you want to feel.

Next, write down three ways you can experience that energy in the next two days.

This may look different than it would have in the past, that’s ok.

Your focus now is to find new ways to create that experience in your current circumstances.

Then receive 3 breaths envisioning what it will be like to give yourself these experiences.

For most of us, our lives have been upended in some major ways.

It’s a lot to deal with.

Gift yourself with some compassion and the realization that you get to choose how you feel in every moment…even now.

Acknowledge that self-care isn’t a luxury any more.

It’s essential.

Schedule time to take care of you and do the activities that emerge during this journaling regularly to restore your body and soul.
